Suggestion Box

by Nidhi Hebbar and Yusuf Ahmad

Without adequate preparation time, schools quickly responded to the COVID-19 pandemic with their best attempts at remote learning. In summer 2020, schools have the opportunity to develop tailored, equitable remote learning plans that can better support their communities’ unique needs.

The Suggestion Box provides schools with an iterative design toolkit that includes customizable surveys to quickly source challenges from teachers, students, and families in order to design responsive, needs-based learning plans for Fall 2020. The Suggestion Box enables schools to effectively prioritize their communities’ challenges, inform technology procurement, and establish a remote organizational culture that better supports teachers in their new environments. The Suggestion Box is informed by research, interviews, and testing with a diverse set of schools across the country and technologically advanced schools around the world.
